William O. Austin, CPA

Bill is a shareholder in the New Bern office. He provides financial and tax planning services to individuals and closely held businesses and has extensive experience working with clients in the professional and medical services, construction and real estate industries.

Bill joined Pittard Perry & Crone, Inc. in 2000 when the firm merged with Salem, Smith & Austin, LLP (in which he was a partner). He is a graduate of East Carolina University with a B. S. in Accounting and is a long-time resident of New Bern.

He recalls PPC’s reception of the coveted New Bern Chamber of Commerce Small Business Member of the Year Award as one of his proudest moments with the firm. An active member of the community, he currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater New Bern Area Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the chamber’s Finance Committee. Bill also chairs the Board of Directors for the Twin Rivers YMCA and the Stewardship Committee for the First Baptist Church of New Bern. He further gives his time to the community as a member of the New Bern Rotary Club.
