Jeffery D. Best, CPA

Jeff is a shareholder and office manager in the Belhaven office. Leader of PPC’s agribusiness team, he provides accounting, tax and business management services to the firm’s agribusiness clients. He also has extensive experience in the marine, health care and hotel industries and routinely performs audits for counties, local education agencies and municipalities.

Jeff acknowledges that technology has changed since he graduated from East Carolina University with a B.S. in Accounting. However, he believes “people are still the same,” and he strives to meet their needs as if they were his own.

His favorite verb is “organize,” a skill in which he excels if his list of community activities is any indication. Jeff is a member of the Belhaven Chamber of Commerce, the Beaufort County Committee of 100, the Hyde County Chamber of Commerce and the Perquimans County Chamber of Commerce. He also serves as treasurer of the Board of Directors for the Belhaven/Pantego Rotary Club and chair of the Finance Team for the Belhaven Missionary Baptist Church.
