M. Chris Burton, CPA

Chris is a shareholder in the New Bern office. As the firm’s municipal audit manager, Chris dedicates his time to the accounting and auditing needs of PPC’s governmental and not-for-profit clients. He also shares his experience within the profession as a member of the NCACPA’s Government Accounting & Auditing Committee. He has extensive experience in the financial services industry and income tax preparation as well.

Chris is a graduate of Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia, where he earned his Bachelors in Business Administration. An avid sports fan, he is a former baseball and soccer coach in the Ahoskie Recreational League. Chris has served on the Board of Directors of the Beechwood Country Club in the past and enjoys a good game of golf after the hectic schedule of tax season.

A long-time North Carolina resident, Chris is a current member of the New Bern Area Chamber of Commerce and a past member of the Ahoskie Chamber of Commerce and the Hertford Country Committee of 100. He is also past president and treasurer of the Ahoskie Rotary Club and a former member of the Board of Directors for RBC Bank in Ahoskie.
