C. Dean Horne, CPA, CVA

Dean is the firm’s current managing shareholder and also serves as office manager of the La Grange practice. He has extensive experience in the auditing of counties, local education entities and municipalities.  In addition, Dean assists clients in the construction industry and performs business valuations as a Certified Valuation Analyst. Dean is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).  He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a B.S. in Accounting.

Whether he is acting as managing shareholder or a citizen of La Grange, Dean seeks to motivate those around him and is currently a member of the La Grange Chamber of Commerce, the Lenior County Committee of 100 and the Board of Trustees for the La Grange United Methodist Church. Dedicated to making his community a better place for children, Dean serves as assistant scout master for the La Grange Boy Scouts Troop 114 and is active in many other youth programs.

A past president of the La Grange Rotary Club, Dean has a long history of involvement in the community. He was selected as the 1993 La Grange Citizen of the Year and the 1998 Business Associate of the Year by the Goldsboro Charter of the American Business Women’s Association. He also received the Cashwell District Assistant Cub Scout Master of the Year award in 2001.
